Low keyword visibility
High-intent searches like “IT services for small business”, “remote IT support services”, and “managed IT support” were all ranked beyond position 100 at the start of the engagement.
A US-based managed IT services and remote tech support company partnered with Crezeal to grow its organic search presence across the United States.
The company provides remote IT support for both home users and businesses covering computer repair, virus removal, network setup, cybersecurity, cloud backup, and managed IT services. Based in Sheridan, Wyoming, they serve customers nationwide with a 500+ happy customer base and a 5.0 Google rating.
Despite strong service quality and excellent customer reviews, the company’s organic search visibility was not reflecting its reputation. High-intent searches for IT support, managed services, and computer repair across the US were not consistently returning their website in competitive positions. The goal was to fix that build strong keyword rankings, grow organic traffic, and establish long-term search authority in the competitive US IT services market.
Service: SEO
Target Location: United States
Goal: Organic Traffic Growth + Keyword Rankings
Competing for IT support and managed services keywords in the US market meant going up against large national IT companies, tech directories, and review platforms with years of established authority.
We started with a comprehensive technical audit covering site speed, crawlability, indexation, structured data, and schema markup. Fixing technical gaps ensured the site could be properly read, crawled, and ranked by Google before content or link work began.
A full keyword map was built around the client’s core services managed IT services, remote computer repair, IT support for small businesses, cloud backup, and cybersecurity combined with US national and location-specific modifiers. Priority was placed on commercial keywords used by both home users and small business decision-makers actively searching for tech support.
Service and product pages were restructured with stronger keyword alignment, improved meta titles and descriptions, clearer content hierarchy, and better internal linking. Content was also optimised for AI readability — laying the groundwork for the AI citation visibility that followed.
A consistent outreach-driven link building programme grew the backlink profile from a handful of referring domains to 168+ backlinks across 69 referring domains by August 2026. Domain Authority reached 11 as a result, with a steady upward trend from late 2023 through to August 2026.
Alongside traditional SEO, we implemented answer engine optimisation (AEO) structuring content and schema to be discoverable in AI-assisted search environments. This led to citations across Google AI Overviews (36 sessions), ChatGPT (58 sessions), Claude (16 sessions), Perplexity (7 sessions), and Gemini (4 sessions) totalling 121 AI citation sessions and 66 new users from AI platforms.
Parallel optimisation work was carried out for Bing, where the site recorded 304.6K impressions and 2.3K clicks — adding a meaningful secondary search channel alongside Google.
Across all five channels, the campaign delivered measurable growth in every key metric.

Over 12 months, the SEO strategy delivered substantial growth across every key metric from impressions and rankings to backlinks and AI visibility.
The website recorded 17.2M Google Search impressions and 26,000 organic clicks over the 12-month period, with average position reaching 9.1 placing the site consistently in or near the first page of results across a wide range of IT support keywords in the US.
Keyword rankings improved dramatically. “Online technical support service for freelancers in Miami” jumped from position 100 to position 1 (+99). “Remote IT support services” moved from 100 to 34 (+66). “Small business IT support service” climbed from 100 to 37 (+63). “IT services for small business” rose from 100 to 40 (+60). “Cloud data backup service for small business” improved from 100 to 27 (+73). Multiple other keywords showed position jumps of 60–90+ positions across US English search results.
The backlink profile grew from near-zero to 168+ backlinks across 69 referring domains a steady, consistent build from November 2023 through August 2026, reflecting a sustainable authority-building approach rather than a short-term spike.
Domain Authority grew to 11, with 3,500 organic keywords now ranking including 288 new keywords added in the most recent reporting period.
Google Analytics 4 showed 5,600 active users and 5,200 new users, with an average engagement time of 1 minute 14 seconds strong signals of quality traffic, not just volume.
On the AI visibility front, the site earned 121 total AI citation sessions across five platforms ChatGPT (58), Google AI Overview (36), Claude (16), Perplexity (7), and Gemini (4) bringing 66 new users from AI-driven discovery alone.
